Zoey's hospital visit number 2

Zoey ended up in the hospital again! Monday night she started getting wheezy and breathing really hard again so we took her into the insta care to get her checked out and of course her oxygen levels were to low so they had to send us back to primary childrens. luckly this time we could drive her there we didn't have to take an ambulance. we got there at about 10:30 pm and after spending most of the night in the er they finally got us a room in the RTU which is Rapid treatment unit. She spent all day tuesday on oxygen and different abudural treatments. they finally told us that she has bronchailitus again but its a weird one that starts with a m i can't remember the name. also the reason it affects her so badly is because she pretty much has cold induced asthma, they don't diagnois kids this young with it but thats pretty much what she has. they also said she will most likely grow out of it. so we will see. she's been mostly cooperative with the nurses and dr's but she is very ready to go home! which hopefully will be soon but we just have to wait and see...

zoey's hospital visit

So we've had a crazy week! Thursday the the 2nd i noticed zoey was starting to get a runny nose and a slight cough, she had no fever though so i wasn't worried. Saturday night she was getting cranky at bed time and wouldn't go to sleep she was coughing alot more and was crying ever couple hours like she was hurting. around 3ish on sunday i noticed her breathing was really fast and she was panting really hard. when i changed her diaper that morning it was like she was gasping for air and her whole stomach would cave in every time she breathed. so we decided to take her in to the insta care. i had been sick all night and throwing up so i not feeling to grand either. anyways when we got to the insta care i told them what was going on and asked how long the wait was and they said about an hour. i was like oh great i can't sit here for an hour and not throw up and zoey was not very happy about being there. like 2 minutes later they called us back and said they were just going to evaluate her then send us back to the waiting room. the nurse hooked zoey up and after about 5 minutes she said "um....i need to go get something" and left when she came back she had an oxygen tank and mask, zoey's oxygen was down to like 83-85 which is not good so after some beuterall (sp ??) for about an hour or so she still couldn't keep her oxygen above 90 with out help so they decided to send us to primary childrens. since she needed to be on oxygen we got to ride in an ambulance over there. zoey had fun but it was not the best experience i've ever had. so after we got checked into the er they kept doing breathing treatments and sucked out her nose to get her oxygen up. we ended up staying in the icu sunday night. they said she had Bronclitius and after a while narrowed it down to rhion virus which is a very mild respiratory virus so thats good!monday morning they took her off oxygen to see how she would hold her levels on her own and she did really good so that afternoon they sent us down to the regular baby unit. she improved alot really quick so they let us out on tuesday morning!! she's doing much better now but dr lei has her on a nebulizer for a few days.

This is her first night in the icu. she has a thing about sleeping sideways on beds.
